NG Nordic offers safe and efficient waste management, high-quality recycling, and resource recovery, while supporting our customers on their decarbonization journey.

NG Nordic’s Riihimäki site includes a high-temperature incineration plant, two grate kiln incineration plants and plastic refining facility. The Riihimäki facility processes hazardous waste, municipal waste, and other waste fractions. The plastic refining facility handles consumer plastic packaging collected separately in Finland, as well as industrial plastic streams, and converts them into recycled plastic granules. The production plant also generates district heating and electricity for residents and properties in the Riihimäki and Hyvinkää areas.

One of NG Nordic’s pioneering flagship projects based in Riihimäki is the Carbon2x programme, where captured CO₂ is converted into sustainable raw materials, such as INGA plastics. We’re looking for partners to further develop the material. Contact us to learn more about cooperation opportunities.

Handcrafted baking tradition since 1911

Ullan Pakari Oy established in 1911 in Honkajoki village in the Western Finland soon was able to hear it’s name to be asked in other parts of Finnish villages too. It was 4th generation’s son Heikki Lankoski who appointed Riihimäki location with his father – together they decided that the location along main road Highway No. 3 is the next pitch perfect location for their Southern Finland garage and manufacturing point.

The owners enjoy the location they handpicked and have been extremely happy about everything working so smoothly in the city. Today Ullan Pakari continues to manufacture bread and delicatesse by hand and heart!

Coating expertise in Riihimäki for over 30 years

Alu-Releco Oy is a surface treatment company founded in 1992. The company specializes in Teflon® and other fluoropolymer coatings, with decades of experience and expertise in the field. Riihimäki was discovered back then through the pages of Kauppalehti, and this is where we chose to invest.

Riihimäki’s location and excellent transport connections make it an ideal home base for us.

We have invested in production facilities and a factory outlet in Riihimäki. Although our store is located in an industrial area, it is well known among locals and also in nearby municipalities—sometimes we even receive group and bus tours. The production facilities meet our growing needs, and any potential changes are handled flexibly and in cooperation. Riihimäki offers our company an operating environment where it is easy to grow and develop.
